Abstract
In recent years, the degree of economic globalization and integration has continued to
deepen. However, due to the frequent occurrence of international trade frictions and the
global spread of the new crown epidemic, the domestic steel industry is facing the
adjustment and transformation of the industrial structure, as well as the continuous
deepening of concepts such as energy conservation and environmental protection. ,
resulting in more and more fierce competition in the domestic and foreign steel market,
the price of steel products and profit margins are affected to a certain extent, and for
enterprises engaged in steel trade, the era of meager profits has gradually emerged. While
facing many challenges, there are also market opportunities. With the steady development
of markets in Africa and Southeast Asia, the demand for steel products continues to
increase. How to seize market opportunities and avoid risks in the external environment is
based on our own resources and capabilities, to formulate a development strategy that suits
itself, to enhance its core competitiveness, and become the key to the survival and
development of trade enterprises, especially small and medium-sized trade enterprises.
This paper selects SH company as the research object. The company is a private
small and medium-sized trading enterprise established in 2015. Its main trade products
include ferrous metal materials and self-operated commodities. This study firstly uses
PEST analysis method, Porter's five forces model and SWOT analysis method to analyze
the internal and external environment of SH Company's related trade business. The study
finds that SH Company has more external opportunities than threats, and its internal
advantages are more obvious than its disadvantages. Secondly, in view of the above
analysis, we formulate a growth-oriented development strategy as a guide, The "Belt and
Road" promotes the integration of upstream and downstream industries, and promotes the
development of vertical integration through digital transformation, thusdriving the
development strategy of the company's overall trade. Finally, the safeguard measures for
the implementation of the development strategy are formulated. Through the research on
the development strategy of SH company, it is helpful to clarify the development direction
of the company, lay the foundation for its survival and development, and at the same time,
it has a certain reference and reference function for the development of the development
strategy of the same type of enterprises.
