ABSTRACT
The paper machine fabric industry is a fully competitive and high input
cost industry, cost control for companies is the way to go for every fabric
company. A Paper & Machine Fabrics (China) Co., Ltd. is a leading company in
the paper & machine fabric industry, accounting for approximately 30% of the
global market share of the paper & machine fabric industry. However, with the
drastic changes in the domestic and international environment, A company is
facing severe challenges. The impact of the China-US trade war and the new
crown epidemic has led to a significant increase in the cost of imported raw
materials. In addition, international competitors have invested in domestic
factories and domestic small & medium-sized fabric companies have merged
and restructured and grown, which has had a serious impact on Company A's
current situation, and Company A needs to adapt to the new market changes
and adjust its competitive strategy according to the market changes to promote
its own development.
This paper attempts to apply the theory of cost leadership strategy to
guide the development of A Paper Machine Fabrics' competitive strategy.
