术语翻译的准确性是体现译者翻译水平和专业程度的重要维度之一。由于制造业 中的质量控制类文本对目标读者来说具有强制性和约束性,因此这类文本的翻译对术 语准确性的要求更高。笔者从术语的定义和分类出发,基于《供应商质量手册》和《生 产材料质量管理规定》两个英译汉项目中的术语翻译案例,探讨质量控制类文本中的 术语翻译过程中容易出现的常见问题,并从翻译和术语管理两个角度提出解决方案, 从而尽量最大程度地避免漏译、误译等翻译问题,从而获得比较准确的术语译名。笔 者希望本篇报告能够为从事非文学翻译的译员提供术语提取、术语翻译和术语管理方 面的参考。 关键词,术语翻译;质量控制;术语库;术语管理III ABSTRACT The accuracy of terminology is one of the key dimensions defining how professional a translator is. The fact that quality control-related documents are regulatory and compulsory for their target readers results in higher bars raised for the accuracy of their translation. The article is based on the analysis of two translation projects, namely, Wilspec Supplier Quality Manual and Brose Quality Management Regulations - Production Materia. Starting with the definition and classification of terminologies, it aims to identify problems that usually occur during terminology translation of quality control documents, and solutions and strategies from perspectives of both terminology management and translation, in order for the project to best avoid wrong translation and missed terminologies, thus making the translation as accurate and professional as possible.
