Lean operation is an important management thought of modern enterprises all over the world and even in China. It is a necessary management mode in the production field, and it is also a long-term development and implementation of enterprise change. Toyota TPS advocates in its lean production: to produce the required products in quantity only when needed with the minimum investment of equipment and personnel. Lean operation inherits this kind of lean ideas , eliminates all kinds of waste through lean tools and ideas, pursues continuous improvement; achieves performance improvement through continuous improvement of employees ‘abilities, concepts, systems and processes; achieves effective use of human resources, raw materials and equipment in the production process of products or services by optimizing the operation process. Facilities and information win competitive advantages in terms of cost, quality, service and speed. Lean operation redefines value according to customer needs, identifies value stream and redesigns enterprise activities to make value flow and rely on customer needs to drive value flow, constantly improve the pursuit of perfection, and ultimately let customers recognize and realize the situation of self-interest, forming good economic benefits and sustainable development. Xi'an YS Company is the largest joint venture pharmaceutical enterprise in China and the largest subsidiary company of Johnson & Johnson in the United States. It was founded in 1985, headquartered in Beijing, and its production base is located in Xi'an. The company produces and sells more than 30 products, including prescription and non-prescription drugs. The products briefly consist of gastroenteritis, neuropsychiatry, hypersensitivity, Ache-Handling, Infection- Resistance, biological forms and cancer and other domains. The Xi'an YS Automated Warehouse is planned to be built in 2014. It has constructed a new business model and operation model. The business main body has changed from manual operation to automated equipment transportation. The focus of operation management has changed from paying attention to human efficiency to paying attention to the efficiency of integrated system. Therefore, how to redefine and identify value flow in daily operationABSTRACT III management of warehouse, how to use continuous improvement to drive value flow, how to realize lean operation in business process to achieve the goal of reducing costs and improving efficiency, is an urgent task and a huge challenge for the management of Xi'an YS automated warehouse. This paper uses the methods of investigation, case study, information research and literature research to analyze the current situation of the operation and management of the automated warehouse in Xi'an YS Company, and identifies the value stream according to the customer's needs from five aspects: human, machine, material, law and environment. Supported by operation management theory and lean operation theory, using lean thinking and lean tools, this paper puts forward the design and implementation steps of lean operation, in order to achieve a good situation of eliminating waste, continuous improvement, customer recognition, reducing costs, improving efficiency and improving warehouse operation performance. By introducing the concept of lean operation, adopting lean ideas and tools, discussing and researching the lean operation of the automated warehouse of Xi'an YS Company can promote the future enterprise management and operation level to a certain extent, at the same time, it can enhance the competitiveness of the automated warehouse of Xi'an YS Company in J&J factory system. This paper has a reference significance for the management or business of factory automated warehouse of various nature in domestic pharmaceutical industry..
