Abstract
At present, China's economic development has entered a period of new normal,
and the pace of economic growth is gradually falling. In 2015, “Made in China 2025”
has been formally promulgated, which means that the time our enterprises
confronted to innovative strategies and upgrading has only less than ten years left.
Thus we have to seize the time to keep up the pace of our national policies.The
office furniture industry plays an essential role in the furniture industry. It accounts
for about one-third of the domestic furniture market and amounts to nearly 200
billion Yuan. However, the local office furniture companies compete with each other
fiercely as well as develop prosperously. The market outlook for office furniture
continues to be optimistic, and there is a substantial potential market demand waiting
to be developed.
This article first analyzes which new competitions and new challenges the Y
office furniture company will face under the changing era, and considers it as a
background of this research. It studies the internal conditions and external
environment of the Y office furniture company, and believes that the company has
the advantage of operating resources, core-competence, and certain comprehensive
strategic advantages; there are as well as the disadvantages of brand reputation,
resource burden and restriction of organizational flexibility, etc. At the same time,
the company faces the opportunities brought by industrial integration and
transformation and the prospects for new business models and new channels. Also, it
faces fierce competition from more than 50,000 competitors in office furniture
business. Then based on the SWOT summary, this article presents a transformation
and upgrading program for the Y office furniture company with guiding ideology,
goals, and steps of restructuring and upgrading. Finally, the study puts forward the
safeguard measures for the implementation of the transformation and upgrading plan
of Y office furniture company by way of organization system, human resources
mechanism, performance monitoring and evaluation, etc.
