About Optimove 2Executive Summary In three words, “consumer loyalty matters.” Our survey of 514 U.S. holiday shoppers shows that about half of consumers are brand loyal, and 48% will only shop at stores/sites they have shopped at in the past. Consumers are shopping early, as more than half will begin their shopping by Halloween. Overall, they will spend less on holiday shopping in 2022 versus 2021. Price is a key motivator to get consumers to buy and 55% want offers from brands 20-60 days before the holidays. And 69% want early offers from preferred retailers. And it appears that they want them from brands they trust. Results show that 48% of respondents do not trust brands with their personal information. In addition, consumers seem to care about brands that are good corporate citizens. Consumers responded that they would pay more to a merchant committed to the environment. Consume
