摘要
到2010年,国际青年旅舍在国外正好已有100年的发展历史,在中国也发
展了十来年。作为旅游住宿业中的重要一员,国际青年旅舍面临着同行业内的激
烈竞争。低星级酒店、普通宾馆、招待所一直是其激烈的竞争对手。而且据笔者
调查发现,国内大陆地区的国际青年旅舍已朝赢利化的方向发展,推出了类似经
济型酒店的客房,并占到总床位的50%左右,服务与一般经济型酒店部分重叠。
这种发展现状与趋势必然导致竞争更加激烈。同时,国际青年旅舍在国内尚处于
发展初期,且国内青年人、青年学生对其认知度还非常低。在这样的形势下,如
何在其原有服务与特点的基础上,推出新的、有特色的服务是已是一个急需解决
的问题。
本文在总结国内外青年旅舍发展与研究的基础上,对国际青年旅舍的经营理
念、经营特点作了详细的分析,并研究了中国大陆国际青年旅舍赢利化的发展现
状与发展趋势,在对其发展的SWOT分析时,着重考虑了其最大的竞争对手—
—万里路连锁青年旅舍,在此基础上,提出了集团化、主题化的发展建议。

Abstract
Youth hostel first appeared in Germany, 1912. To 2010, it has undergone
100-years development. While in Chinese Mainland, it has developped for only 12
years. As a member of the lodging industry, it faces fierce competition. Low-star hotel
and guesthouse are always its rivals. Furthermore, my survey regarding the
International Youth Hostel in Chinese Mainland shows that they are providing service
similar to that of economy hotels, and the number of economy beds accounts for
about 50% of total, which will make the competition between International Youth
Hostels and economy hotels more fiercer. The development of International Youth
Hostel in Chinese Mainland is still at early stage and cognitive degree of youth to in
Chinese Mainland is very low at present. Under such circumstances, it is imperative
to roll out new featured services.
On the basis of research and development review of youth hostel, the philosophy
and features of International Youth Hostel is analysed. The room rate survey of
International Youth Hostel in China shows that they are providing service similar to
that of economy hotels, the reason of which is studied. And in depth analysis of
UTELS, a major rival in Chinese maket, is made. Based on the SWOT analysis of the
development of International Youth Hostels in China, countermeasures are put
forward.
