It supersedes BS 5157:1989 which is withdrawn.
The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted by Technical Committee
PSE/7, Valves to Subcommittee PSE/7/1, Valves ? which has the
responsibility to:
D aid enquirers to understand the text;
D present to the responsible European committee any enquiries on the
interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed;
D monitor related international and European developments and promulgate
them in the UK.
