Beijing Intway Network Technologies Limited is positioned to be a full service webtalk service provider. Our services will include Voice Portal service, Integrated Messaging service, IP telephony service and voice enablement service.
China owns a largest telephone network in the world, with 120 million fixed phone users and nearly 70 million mobile phone users. The number of the Internet users in China is growing quickly. Currently there are more than 16 million Internet users and it is estimated that the number will reach 20 million by the year-end. According to Yankee Group, there will be 110 million Internet users in China in 2004. Based on Forrest Group’s forecast, we estimate that about 1/3 of the Internet users (at least 30 million) in China will be PC-to-Phone users in 2004. Beijing Intway Networking Technologies Limited will be dedicated in integrating the Internet service and the voice service seamlessly, to provide users with innovative solutions and services.
Our goal is to be the market leader in China.
Service
We will provide full range of value-added voice service. We will establish a voice portal (with an access number), a WAP site and a web site.
When a user dial in our voice portal number, the services we can provide to her/him are the following:
“Browsing” the Internet with a set of one word commands
Receive and send email/voice mail through their incumbent email account or ours,
Place Phone to PC and Phone to Phone calls.
Through our WAP site, user can access our service with a WAP-enabled mobile hand-set. Through our web site, use can make PC to PC and PC to Phone calls.
User will obtain only one number for all of the services mentioned above.
When the user is online, he/she will be promoted with a small banner we call it Unified Communications Agent on the user’s PC screen. The functions include the following:
Click2Call. Click at this icon on the banner to make PC to PC and PC to Phone Call
Virtual Phone Line. As the phone line is busy when the user is online, the phone calls to this line will be transmitted to the PC. The user can see the caller number and pick up the call through the PC or have voice message.
ICQ. As we actually have the users list when the users are online, it is easy to add ICQ function

Voice Portal Service
Our voice portal service will be implemented in two phases:

Phase I: Listening
Users dial the access number we provide to listen to the real-time translated Internet content. Our voice gateway will perform the translation.
The Internet site we can translate including the majority of the WAP sites and some selected HTML web sites.
Users dial in through DTMF phone, listening to the content sorted in a kind of order, interacting with our Interactive Voice Response system by pressing the dial pad.
Users can decide what sites, what content and in what order to listen according to their own favorite. They can configure “my portal” through our WAP site and web site. If they don’t want to do the configuring, we will provide a set of standard service to them.
Voice email will be one of the services. Users can use our email system, as well as other email service providers’. They can setup that through our WAP site and web site.
The mobile phone number will be the personal ID. For the users without mobile phone, we will give them a set of identification numbers. When mobile phone users dial in, we can identify them.

Phase II: Talking
Users can talk with our voice portal in addition to the dial pad input. We will provide VoiceXML based voice browsing service. VoiceXML（Voice eXtensible Markup Language）is issued by the VXML Forum, which was founded by Motorola, Lucent, AT&T and IBM in March 1999. Right now there have been more than 120 members, including big players like Nokia, 3com, cisco, BT, Ericsson, Telia, France Telecom, Worldcom, Nuance, etc.
We will cooperate with the Electronics Engineering Department of Tsinghua University to develop the voice recognition technology and service. The Electronics Engineering Department of Tsinghua University is a world leader in Chinese voice recognition. Tsinghua University has agreed to license the Voice Recognition Search Engine to us. We will develop out the Voice Portal Packet to license the Packet to the third parties who want to establish the voice portals.
