At present, the competition in the banking industry is becoming increasingly fierce. Which is mainly manifested in the frequent emergence of local commercial banks, and at the same time, the number of banking outlets has suddenly increased. The rise of online payment methods such as WeChat and Alipay has continuously increased the impact on traditional banking business. How to transform and upgrade has become a common problem faced by various commercial banks. This paper takes the Bank of China HD branch outlets as the research object. It’s analyses the overall development status and previous transformation and upgrading attempts of Bank of China HD branch through comparative analysis, points out that there are still a series of problems to be solved in the overall development momentum of HD branch, and summarizes the experience and lessons of its transformation and upgrading failure. This paper expounds the necessity of HD branch outlets transformation and upgrading from internal and external factors, and expounds the feasibility of transformation and upgrading in combination with the existing transformation and upgrading conditions of HD branch outlets. Based on the theory of Reengineering the Corporation, new outlets theory and bank reengineering, combined with the actual situation of HD branch outlets, through systematic abstract induction and practical research, This paper puts forward the scheme of outlets transformation and upgrading through system abstract induction and realistic research, that is “One change, Three transformations, Five strictures.” It puts forward development from scale to efficiency; It’s proposed that development change from increasing scale to increasing efficiency, and promote transformation in terms of intelligence, differentiation, and diversification. At the same time, we must strict five aspects of work management , that is assess the mechanism, risk control, internal control management and case prevention, human resources, service image.This paper has a certain practical significance for the transformation and upgrading of Bank of China HD branch, It also provides the feasible path and guarantee countermeasure reference for the transformation and upgrading of other domestic commercial bank outlets.
