Cement production capacity of around 455 million tonnes (MT), as of 2017-18. As of September 2018, India’s
total installed cement capacity was around 480 million tonnes (MT).
India’s cement production capacity is expected to reach 550 million tonnes by 2020.
India is the second largest cement producer in the world.
