An inclusive economic model is the prerequisite to the
ambitious global development agenda codifed in the
United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs). While we have made great progress in fghting
extreme poverty in recent decades, current geopolitical
unrest, climate change impacts and other global trends
such as population growth and urbanisation mean
that achieving the 2030 SDG agenda will necessitate
unparalleled innovation and creative solutions. The source
of the innovation and creativity required lies in upending
everything we thought we knew about the economy.
We created the
Innovation Trends Report
series as
part of our global Social Impact practice’s strategic
focus on the Solution Economy – where working across
boundaries, disciplines and sectors to solve tough
problems holds the promise to push us all forward.
And, it is part of our commitment to accelerate creative
